How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
By God’s mercy, I was raised in a Christian home. My parents belong to Christ and by their teaching and example I learned so much about Him. And, at the age of thirteen, God opened by heart and used a young couple leading my youth group to show me what it meant to repent and accept Christ as my Savior and Lord. Every day since has been a journey of learning more about Him and being transformed by the power of His Spirit and His Word. I am eternally grateful!
How I came to Harvest
Our family relocated to Spring Lake and Memorial Day weekend 2012 my husband and I walked through the doors of Harvest Spring Lake with our five children and we knew we were home! We are thankful to be a part of a body of believers that is growing by the power of Gospel.
What I do at Harvest
My responsibilities here at HBCSL include leading our Assimilation Teams, overseeing our Fellowship One database, teaching women’s bible study, and a variety of other administrative projects.
Why I do what I do
Simple… because I am not my own. I was bought with the precious blood of Jesus and I count it great privilege to serve Him!
At Harvest since May 2012
On staff since November 2012
Education Business Administration degree from Calvin College
After college, I spent 5 years working for Dr. D. James Kennedy’s television ministry, Coral Ridge Ministries, and the next 23 years raising the precious children God entrusted to us.
This is by far the hardest question because how do you narrow it down to just one… but I will say Romans 8:1-2: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”
Scott Flickema… a devoted follower of Jesus, my best friend, an incredible father, and an elder of HBCSL.

What I do for fun
Truly… being a wife and mother and grandmother as well as working for Christ at Harvest keeps me pretty busy… I can’t think of any hobby I could love more than these things. But, on the rare occasions when I have a moment to spare, I might be found riding my bike or reading a great book.
