PASTOR TIMOTHY DAHAL
HARVEST BIBLE CHAPEL - KATHMANDU, NEPAL
Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu, Nepal is a church plant this is run by Pastor Timothy Dahal. Since the church has planted, he has trained up pastors to see an additional 17 church planted all around Nepal. Some are located in very rural locations in the mountains that can take up to 2 days to hike to.
Within the Kathmandu community, there are many children that have been abandoned by parents, had parents that were killed for their faith in Christ, extended family that abandoned them because of their parents faith and some had parents that died from sickness. This has created a need for a home for these children so Pastor Timothy started the Harvest Loving Home where he and his wife, Yasoda, care for them. This is not like a normal orphanage where they are available to be adopted, they are instead providing a home, educating and helping these children grow in Christ.
Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu, Nepal originally built a small building on the church property to provide for these children, but as the number of children began to grow, the space was much too small. Pastor Timothy used his own money to purchase a plot of land, further out from the city, that is on a creek, and able to provide water without dependance on the local government. The property is near a good school, and being further out of the city provides safety for the children, from the Hindu people who are angry that the children worship the one true God. Harvest Spring Lake donated funds to help them build a building on that property in 2016, and after 2 years of building, they were finally able to move into the structure!
CHILDREN OF HARVEST LOVING HOME
There are currently 29 children living in the Harvest loving home. Below is each child that is living in the home. Join us in praying for the health and safety of these children of God. Pray that they would continue to grow in the likeness of our Savior and be provided all of their needs. Also be praying for Pastor Timothy and his wife, Yasoda as they continue to care for them and serve the Lord so faithfully.
